Job Overview
The Learning & Development Coordinator is a role within the Human Resources team that focuses on the facilitation. The role will provide auxiliary support to business departments creating cross functional training for their areas. This individual will focus on training improvement with systems and processes for development, tracking and evaluating training. As the company is actively growing, this role will gain immediate and significant exposure to company-wide initiatives and be part of a driving change while focusing on employee development and experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supports Human resources, and operational initiatives such as software training, management and leadership training, employee onboarding etc.
- Delivers advanced product training and effective communication skills
- Influences discussions, round tables, and feedback sessions for training development
- Collaborate with others to develop or source learning content for initiatives in a variety of media formats *(guides, manuals, videos etc.) and modalities (live, on-demand, in-person, virtual, e-learning)
- Works independently and with colleagues to accomplish the full cycle—assess, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate—of employee development and training experiences.
- Creative approach to material and process expectations.
- Strives to improve technology related to learning and development.
- Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
- Develops and delivers internal communications related to L&D events and resources to ensure learners are fully supported in their development.
- Tracks completion and maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements, following up with managers or employees as needed.
- Conducts follow-up of completed training to evaluate and measure results.
- Proposes and implements modifications to content, approach, facilitators, or other aspects of L&D programming to improve results.
- Serves as an L&D knowledge resource and review checkpoint for business leaders developing and delivering subject matter specific training in their area.
- Other duties assigned in response to company needs.
- Evaluated effectiveness of training conducted.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Extremely organized and shows exceptional ability and enjoyment in management of detailed project plans, data tracking etc.
- Establishes and maintains expertise in subjects taught and continuous follow up actions as needed.
- Excel in critical leadership skills such as project management, planning, prioritization, communication etc.
- Assess all functional execution, identify gaps in performance, practice and policy; direct action planning, implementation and execution to improve operating results.
- Self-motivated with leading experience in career development.
- Coach and motivate team employees to exceed key performance measures with leading results
- Responds appropriately to learner needs (clarification, examples, feedback)
- Identifies alternate solutions/learning when delivery challenges arise (materials, content, virtual, and F2F meetings)
- Problem solving and critical thinking, enjoys the process of designing, building, and executing programming and workstreams.
- Ability to outline requirements, then research and evaluate training options.
- Comfortable working independently to drive progress, as well as collaboratively, and able to judge when each approach is appropriate.
- Ability to travel
- Adept at working effectively with people at all levels of the organization, including members of management and HR staff.
- Excellent in-person, virtual, and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft 365 or related software.
Education & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in or significant exposure to human resources and/or employee development and training.
- Proficient in software systems and training modules
- Experience in adult learning and/or instructional design is a plus.
- Human Resources team experience, a plus.
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
