Position Overview
The Acquisitions Originator will report into the SVP of Investments. He/she will play a critical role within the acquisitions overseeing a newly created team focused on off-market sourcing, underwriting and supporting the execution of national equity investments, across all asset classes including, multifamily, industrial, retail, hospitality, life sciences & data centers. The i deal candidate is entrepreneurial, resourceful and highly motivated with strong analytical skills to identify opportunistic transactions. He/she is willing to "pound the pavement" to seek out off-market opportunities. He/She must have at least 5 years (10 years preferred) of relevant and recent national commercial real estate transactional experience with a focus on originations.

Essential Functions
- Source and off-market identify national commercial real estate equity investment opportunities that fit the Company’s objectives.
- Manage newly created team focused on sourcing opportunities, providing daily oversight and strategic direction
- Must have recent transactional experience in sourcing and closing commercial real estate equity investments in primary and secondary MSAs -
- Ability to leverage existing network for on and off-market investment opportunities.
- Pitch new acquisition opportunities to Senior Executives.
- Travel and tour properties to diligence new opportunities.
- Interface with brokers, principals, lenders and industry professionals throughout the transactional process, including developing new relationships with counterparties.
- Lead and oversee financial models in Excel, including complex waterfall structures.
- Oversee due diligence on new investments including communication with third parties (brokers, lenders, consultants, etc.).
- Oversee creation of investment memorandums.
- Guide internal and external presentations and marketing materials for debt/capital markets initiatives.
- Assist acquisition and asset management teams with recurring decision making pre and post-closing.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Finance, or Accounting with demonstrated academic excellence
- Advanced Degree in Real Estate, Finance or Accounting a plus
- 5 - 10 plus years of relevant real estate investment or brokerage experience
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including advanced modeling and financial analysis
- Commercial Real Estate transactional experience from start to finish under an equity capacity.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Excel
- Superior verbal, written communications and presentation skills
- Ability to thrive in an environment that is entrepreneurial, both strategic and creative, and which requires learning, multitasking and prioritizing under tight deadlines
- Strong process management skills
Salary : $150,000 - $300,000
