About the Role
This Strategic Finance Director position plays a key role in driving corporate financial planning and analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership to establish ambitious financial goals and strategic initiatives. They will lead the development and execution of the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain financial forecasts/models for the business (corporate and practice level) and track key variances, changes and opportunities in actual results vs. budgets and forecasts;
• Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting that includes in-depth analysis, key operating metrics, and explanations of variances and trends; surface actionable insights;
• Assist in preparing materials for the executive team, including board decks, investor materials and other executive updates;
• Support valuation, M&A, and partnership processes as appropriate;
• Complete ad-hoc business projects and analysis that drive decision-making and capital allocation;
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
Requirements
• 7 years of relevant experience in a finance/analytical role (investment banking, consulting, private equity, or FP&A);
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced proficiency in financial modeling and financial statement analysis;
• Strong understanding of corporate finance concepts required;
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint;
• Excellent leadership and team management skills;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to clearly articulate ideas and drive cross-functional understanding and cooperation across the business;
• Empathetic, low-ego leader who can recruit, manage, and retain a strong team.
