We are looking for a Director of Operations to join our growing team. This position will support our Michigan market and will require the candidate to be local to their assigned market.

About the role
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director of Operations will oversee and manage the day-to-day operational activities to ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality fiber internet services to our customers. This position requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of operational efficiency, team management, and process improvement in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the onboarding and training of new staff, fostering a high-performing team to manage all operational activities within the Michigan market.
- Oversee end-to-end operations, including the maintenance of existing fiber networks, coordination and scheduling of service drops, and ensuring technicians are fully equipped to execute daily tasks.
- Manage the recruitment and onboarding process for support staff and technicians, ensuring the right talent is in place to meet operational needs.
- Supervise and optimize technician pre-game capacity, ensuring workforce readiness and efficient task allocation.
- Engage and onboard outsourced contractors, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with company standards and operational goals.
- Providing regular updates on regional performance, challenges, and growth opportunities.
- Lead and manage all operations within the Michigan region, driving performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of proven track record in Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) operations and deployment, with extensive experience in managing related processes.
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Experience in budget management, with the ability to plan, allocate, and optimize resources effectively.
- Highly analytical with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
- Adaptable and ready to thrive in a startup environment, bringing flexibility and a growth mindset to the role.
