Production Worker / Packaging Operator
We are seeking a Production Worker / Packaging Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior forklift and production line experience, good eye, hand, and foot coordination, and the ability to read and interpret scales.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating machinery in a productive manner, using established safety guidelines and procedures. They will assist other production areas as needed, move and wrap completed products, and maintain a clean workstation.
The Bagging Operation is a critical part of this role, involving the operation of bagging and baler machines, shrink wrapping machines, forklifts, pallet jack, and bag sealer. The successful candidate will accurately complete the Bagger production report, fill pellet sample cups every ton for quality control information, and tag pallets with Quality Control tags.
To be considered for this role, applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, and possess good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. They must also be able to do simple math calculations and pass the company's forklift training program.
This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule of 6p - 6:30a, Monday through Friday. The starting salary is $18-19/hour, with opportunities for bonuses, paid time off, and benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan with employer match.
