The Liguori Academy Teacher will be responsible for the successful completion of the following tasks :
- Complete and submit weekly lessons plans that reflect behavioral objects, employ high level thinking, and utilize various assessments that challenge students on all levels of critical and creative thinking.
- Complete all grading, create progress reports, and conduct parent conferences in a timely manner.
- Complete all tasks and lesson plans assigned in Naviance, if applicable.
- Livestream class instruction and lesson plans virtually via the required platforms as needed
- Utilize the company approved virtual meeting platforms for class instruction and online meetings as needed
- Provide customized instruction for all students through the Edgenuity Curriculum.
- Utilize various assessments, especially mandatory quarterly projects that reflect relevance and rigor.
- Continuously evaluate the interventions for students in order to determine their effectiveness and adjust as needed. Interventions need to be documented in Renweb.
- Utilize student information system (Renweb) to record all lesson plans, student assessments, teacher / student interventions, student attendance, student behavior and parent / guardian interventions.
- Actively participate in weekly data meetings to discuss student growth and concerns.
- Monitor student progress (data) and use data to shape student interventions and teacher instruction.
- Participate in teacher service period or after school service / activity that best reflect teacher’s interest.
- Monitor student’s progress in the main space by following data from Edgenuity dashboard.
- Review curriculum and devise alternate approaches to presenting lessons to increase student understanding (working directly with students and parents).
- Communicate with parents, students, and other teachers on a regular basis to develop and update personal learning plans and schedules, score assessments, provide feedback on student work, suggest instructional approaches and strategies, monitor completion of assignments and coach special projects.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers to ensure that all students are successfully progressing through the program, that parents have a central point of contact, and that tasks are distributed among the teachers.
- Develop a general knowledge of the entire curriculum and a very detailed knowledge of the courses for which responsible.
- Work with other teachers to coordinate social activities and relevant field trips for students.
- Manage field trips and make efforts to integrate trips into the curriculum.
- Participate in student recruiting sessions and other marketing efforts that require teacher representation.
- Attend field trips and other community activities implemented for families.
- Protect student records, information, and verbal communication per state and federal regulations
- Teachers may be required to work in the Private school or the Fortis program
- Other duties as assigned.
