Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Education or Primary Education (preferred)
- Minimum three years’ teaching experience in an elementary school (Grades 1-3)
- Knowledge of the AEFE curriculum and the French National Educational Curriculum for Primary Education
- Native French proficiency
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Positivity, open-mindedness, and adaptability to a multicultural environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
- Basic computer skills (e.g., email systems, word processing, educational platforms)
- Work Authorization in the United States
- Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction in French language arts, mathematics, and other core subjects according to the AEFE curriculum
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of EAL (English as an Additional Language) and FLE (French as a Foreign Language) students
- Design and implement creative, interactive, and standards-based lesson plans to enhance students’ academic performance and engagement
- Provide consistent, meaningful feedback to students and families through weekly progress updates
- Use technology effectively to facilitate learning, enhance communication, and manage classroom activities
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that promotes collaboration and active participation
- Evaluate and assess students’ progress through formative and summative assessments, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support the school’s mission and achieve educational goals
- Participate in school activities, including open houses, parent meetings, field trips, fairs, exhibitions, and festivals
- Perform weekly supervision duties, such as carpool, recess, lunch duty, and after-school homework support
- Attend and contribute positively to faculty, subject-area, and cycle meetings scheduled by the Head of School
- Stay updated on AEFE guidelines, methodologies, and professional development opportunities to ensure best teaching practices
- Maintain professional respectfulness in collaboration with other teachers in the same grade level and across disciplines
- Physically able to monitor student discipline, provide necessary support, and move around the classroom to facilitate small and large group instruction
- A minimum of 40 hours per week on-site
- Active engagement in all academic and extracurricular duties
