What You Will Do
As a Law Enforcement Response Specialist , your role will include :
Handling Sensitive Material and Reporting
CSAM Case Management : Review and handle cases involving Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) with the utmost care, confidentiality, and professionalism.
NCMEC Reporting : Submit confirmed CSAM cases to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
TVEC Incident Management : Process and report Terrorist and Violent Extremist Content (TVEC) incidents, including submitting tips to the FBI Tip Line as necessary.
Law Enforcement Collaboration
Act as a primary contact for law enforcement , ensuring timely, accurate responses to subpoenas, warrants, and legal inquiries while adhering to user privacy laws and company policies.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to address urgent safety-related incidents and investigations.
Policy and Workflow Quality Assessments
Conduct detailed assessments of policies and workflow processes within the US Law Enforcement Response Team (LERT) to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Workflow Support and Execution
Support the US LERT team by learning workflows and performing essential tasks, ensuring consistent and high-quality execution.
Policy and Guideline Updates
Stay current on workflow changes, operational guidelines, and policy updates to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
Trend Analysis and Reporting
Track and flag trends or patterns identified during assessments and escalate insights to the Performance Insights Manager .
Use quantitative and qualitative research methods to perform root cause analyses on high-priority escalations.
Case Reviews and Presentations
Create and present case reviews to diverse audiences, including leadership and specialists, to establish a unified understanding of events and root causes.
Policy and Process Improvement
Identify and recommend improvements to policies, processes, systems, and tools to mitigate risk and enhance operational efficiency.
Operational and Data Insights
Support operational quality initiatives by creating data-driven insights, monitoring escalation trends, and maintaining feedback loops for risk mitigation.
Quality Metrics and Tooling Collaboration
Monitor quality assurance metrics and collaborate closely with data analytics and engineering teams to improve tooling for QA metrics and data analysis.
Constructive Feedback
Provide detailed, constructive feedback to LERT team members and management on the quality of work, highlighting risks and opportunities for improvement.
Cross-Functional Support
Cross-train and support other verticals and initiatives as needed, contributing to team flexibility and growth.
On-Call Rotations
Participate in on-call rotations to address urgent safety-related incidents and escalations during off-hours.
Content Interaction and Exposure
This role involves performing a critical function by addressing objectionable or disturbing content, which may include but is not limited to :
Bullying, hate speech, and child abuse.
Sexual assault, torture, and bestiality.
Self-harm, suicide, and murder.
You should be prepared for exposure to harmful or disturbing content on a daily basis.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of experience moderating for Law Enforcement or Emergency Response , OR 4 years of experience in Law Enforcement investigations .
Knowledge of civil and criminal subpoenas, court orders, and search warrants.
Experience working with sensitive content, including CSAM and TVEC , and managing offensive or disturbing cases responsibly.
Proven ability to execute repetitive core work tasks with attention to detail while identifying process improvement opportunities.
Experience reviewing live or historical user-generated content with a detail-oriented approach and in accordance with team guidance for reporting to Law Enforcement.
Strong attention to detail, highly self-driven, and results-oriented.
Proven ability to assess risk and impact effectively.
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with various stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
Experience in quality analysis within the content moderation or trust & safety industry.
Passion for and experience in the digital media and entertainment industry.
Ability to thrive in a high-tempo environment, adapt quickly, and respond to the day-to-day challenges of the role.
Demonstrated resilience and a commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.
