Who You Are :
Experienced in React and TypeScript with a strong understanding of modern frontend frameworks.
Skilled in live streaming systems and safety tooling development.
Knowledgeable about machine learning systems, safety-by-design, and privacy-by-design practices.
Strong experience with PostgreSQL and BigQuery for data storage, analysis, and reporting.
Proficient in Python-based data science tools for trust and safety analysis, automation, and content detection.
Experienced in developing and implementing threat models to identify and mitigate risks in live-streaming environments.
Familiar with global safety regulations and compliance requirements for online platforms.
Background in Trust & Safety, Security, or Privacy , with a deep understanding of risk mitigation strategies.
What You Will Do :
Design and develop trust and safety features for our live-streaming platform, ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience for all users.
Build safety tooling, including moderation tools, user-reporting systems, and automated enforcement systems, leveraging React and TypeScript.
Develop machine learning and automation-based safety systems to detect, prevent, and address harmful content or behavior on the platform.
Utilize PostgreSQL and BigQuery to analyze user behavior, detect trends, and improve moderation efficiency.
Leverage Python-based data science tools to develop risk detection models and improve platform-wide safety monitoring.
Design and implement threat models to proactively identify security and safety risks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable and efficient solutions for real-time content moderation and enforcement.
Stay updated on safety and compliance regulations, ensuring the platform meets legal and ethical standards globally.
What We Are Looking For :
3 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on trust and safety, security, or privacy.
Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and familiarity with backend systems and APIs.
Strong experience with PostgreSQL and BigQuery for data processing and reporting.
Proficiency in Python-based data science tools such as Pandas, NumPy, or Scikit-learn.
Experience in developing or integrating machine learning tools for content safety and moderation.
Expertise in designing and implementing threat models to proactively mitigate risks.
Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, and other safety and privacy regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on creating user-first safety solutions.

Where You’ll Work
This is a full-time hybrid position based in Santa Monica, CA , with three days a week in-office and the remaining days remote.
