Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. Your role will involve planning engaging activities that foster learning through play while ensuring the safety and well-being of each child.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various areas including social skills, language development, and physical abilities.
- Provide individualized support to children as needed, including those requiring early intervention.
- Maintain effective classroom management to ensure a safe and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive educational experience for all children.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Strong skills in classroom management and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Familiarity with tutoring methods, particularly in foundational subjects like math.
- Experience or training in physical education for young children is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
