What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant/Toddler Teacher position at Lil' Friends Day School?
Lil’ Friends Day School is currently hiring a full-time Toddler I teacher.
This teacher will be expected to:
- Write lesson plans each week based on the school’s themes that align with the developmental milestones for language arts, math, science and music.
- Manage behavior
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Communicate professionally and politely to parents and to children (REQUIRED)
- Maintain anecdotal records on the app that communicates to parents
- Be able to change diapers/pull-ups while encouraging potty training
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Put the safety of the child first
- Be able to work within operating hours of 7 am – 6 pm
- Follow the minimum standards for child care licensing
- Prepare developmental progress reports twice a year
- Maintain accurate, complete and timely records
- If diapers have to be changed, teacher must follow sanitary guidelines
- Keep children as clean as possible
- Keep the classroom tidy
- Decorate the classroom and maintain student labels
- Have supplies for lessons prepared at the beginning of the day & make sure all supplies are returned after lesson has been completed
- Stay on top of each child’s supplies & tell parents if more supplies are needed
- Follow the three-step process for cleaning and sanitizing
- Clean & sanitize toys after they have been soiled
- Be flexible to helping in areas needed
- Attend in-service and staff meetings
- CPR/First Aid certifications are required
- Exceptional punctuality & attendance expected
- All employees subject to a 90 day probationary period
