What are the responsibilities and job description for the Afternoon Daycare Teacher position at LIL FRIENDS DAYSCHOOL?
Lil’ Friends Day School is currently hiring an afternoon / closing teacher in the Pre-K 4 classroom. This teacher will also "float" for staffing coverage in other classrooms.
This teacher will be expected to :
- Will be required to work until 6 : 00 pm
- Accountability and professionalism is a must
- Manage behavior
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Communicate professionally and politely to parents, children and to fellow staff members (REQUIRED)
- Be able to change diapers and maintain proper hygienic standards
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Put the safety of the child first
- Follow the minimum standards for child care licensing
- Maintain accurate, complete and timely records
- Dress professionally for working with young children
- Teacher must follow sanitary guidelines of diaper changes
- Keep children as clean as possible
- Keep the classroom tidy
- Stay on top of each child’s supplies & tell parents if more supplies are needed
- Follow the three-step process for cleaning and sanitizing
- Clean & sanitize toys after they have been soiled
- Be flexible to helping in areas needed
- Attend in-service and staff meetings
- CPR / First Aid certifications will be required
- Exceptional punctuality & attendance expected
- All employees subject to a 90 day probationary period
Salary : $14 - $15
