We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our superior educational team. The ideal candidate will support the Lead Teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children aged 2 years. This role requires a passion for early childhood education, strong communication skills, high energy, dependability, and the ability to foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Supervise and engage with children during activities, both indoors and outdoors.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning.
- Help manage classroom routines, including arrival, meals, and transitions.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring materials are accessible and safe.
- Observe and document children's progress and behaviors, sharing insights with the Lead Teacher.
- Assist in preparing materials for lessons and activities.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and school policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in early childhood education or related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a preschool setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Background check clearance as required by state regulations.
