If so, we are looking for YOU to be our co FOH manager! Our busy cafe is looking for a front of the house manager to join our team. We are high volume and fast paced-mainly counter service. As FOH manager you will be responsible for running the day, ensuring high quality products and excellent guest service.
Responsibilities:
- Run daily operations; oversee team members
- Deliver any necessary discipline in a timely manner
- Meet with other managers weekly
- Effectively communicate and work with all managers, leads and team members
- Make decisions based on what’s best for Lil’s, the guests and the staff
- Ordering and inventory when assigned
- Constant communication with all via email, reports, in person, texting when necessary
- Being lead trainer for any new team members.
- Provide clear communication in all reports at the end of the day.
- Respond to any food/beverage safety or quality issues, taking action to protect reputation and standards.
- Support change efforts, ideas and other managers.
- Model Lil’s culture of pride, ownership, flexibility and desire to exceed expectations.
- Educate staff on all aspects of our culture and support it in communications and actions.
- Help design and run staff meetings, summits, etc.
- Maintain a clean environment (cafe, storage, etc.) at all times
- Analyze labor and make adjustments as needed
- Work with vendors as needed
- Work with KM as needed
- Work with GM/KM on creating and implementing new systems-ensuring all leadership is on the same page before implementing
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality management role is required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff and customers.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards.
- Proficient in interviewing, hiring, and training new employees.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with bartending and beverage service is preferred.
- Understanding of food service management principles.
