Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Director to lead our daycare center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare and education, and managing a team of educators and staff. This role requires effective relationship management and the ability to oversee various administrative functions while ensuring the successful implementation of programs that enhance the quality of care.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and management to the daycare center, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
  • Program Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services that meet the needs of children, families, and the community.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care and education.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the daycare center, including managing budgets, maintaining facilities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communication and Community Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with parents, community partners, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and education, ensuring compliance with national and state standards.
  • Financial Management: Manage the daycare center's budget, ensuring financial sustainability and responsible resource allocation.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, staff, and families, complying with relevant regulations and guidelines. Accreditation and

  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with best practices, research, and industry developments, applying this knowledge to improve the daycare center's programs and services.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role in a childcare or education setting.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or the National Child Care Association (NCCA) certification.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of early childhood education, child development, and relevant regulations and standards.

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
