Job Title: Bartender
Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager
Lila’s is a lounge style hotel bar that is the perfect combination of playfully inspired craft cocktails, classic wines of the world, local beer, and globally inspired comfort food. Located inside the new Hampton Inn & Suites in the heart of the neighborhood of play, Lila’s is a destination for travelers and treasured hideaway for local regulars.
We are currently looking for a passionate hospitality professional who will be an active participant in our operation from ingredient preparation to closing checklists.
The qualified candidate will have:
- 2 Years of bartending in a restaurant setting that focused on quality service and ingredients.
- Experience creating and mixing thoughtful craft cocktails.
- Knowledge of spirits and classic wine and beer styles.
- An eye for current food, beverage and hospitality trends and an ability to creatively adapt and apply them to the specific needs of Lila’s.
- Strong leadership skills that translate to a positive, rewarding work environment for all.
- A desire to learn new skills, ideas and techniques that can be used to make our bar a better place to work, dine and drink.
- The ability to communicate effectively, be an active listener and solve problems that arise during a busy service with both guests and coworkers.
- The ability to prioritize and delegate tasks and maintain professionalism in high-volume, high-pressure situations.
- An understanding of our brand and how that translates into the operation of Lila’s.
Bartenders will be responsible for:
- All aspects of Lunch and Dinner service including guiding guests through their experience by answering questions and making recommendations, taking food and drink orders, thoughtfully preparing all drinks, running food and drinks, bussing tables, and anything else that may arise.
- Bar prep, side work and cleaning.
- Assisting in creation and curation of the cocktail menu.
- Following all processes and standards for things like steps of service, cleaning and opening and closing the bar.
- Working with the Chef and kitchen staff to optimize service quality.
