Hours of Operation: 7:00 AM-5:30 PM

The Lilac City Early Learning Center staff is excited to expand our team! We are seeking a dependable, caring, and passionate Preschool Classroom Assistant or Aide to work with our 3-4-year-old preschool group. Candidates with preschool experience are preferred. Key Responsibilities:
- Arrive on time and prepared for the full scheduled shift.
- Help facilitate and participate in engaging, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with curriculum objectives, ECEAP standards, and best practices.
- Support the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of each child.
- Assist in quarterly child assessments using program-approved developmental screeners.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher conferences and maintain open communication with families.
- Ensure a safe, healthy, and positive learning environment.
- Help arrange and maintain the classroom environment according to program goals.
- Monitor classroom materials, report damaged or lost items, and ensure timely replacements.
- Maintain accurate child records, including attendance, medication logs, and incident reports.
- Stay in compliance with all licensing regulations, ECEAP standards, and program policies.
- Wear child-friendly clothing suitable for an active classroom setting.
- Maintain and update professional records online via MERIT.
Required Qualifications (or Willingness to Obtain Upon Hire):
- Negative TB Test (within the past 12 months)
- Proof of MMR Vaccination or approved exemption
- Physical Exam
- Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- WA State Food Handler’s Certificate
- Infant/Child CPR & First Aid Certification
- DCYF Background Check
- DCYF Mandatory Trainings (via dcyftraining.com)
- 30-Hour Child Care Basics (STARS) Training (within 90 days of hire)
