SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Casino Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Security team to ensure the safety and security of guests, Team Members, and company assets. This role involves supervising Security Officers, coordinating responses to incidents, and ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations. The Security Supervisor serves as a liaison between Security Officers, the property leadership team, and external agencies to maintain a secure and welcoming environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
- Supervise and provide guidance to Security Officers during shifts to ensure smooth operations and adherence to policies.
- Conduct briefings and training sessions to keep Security Officers informed of procedures, updates, and safety protocols.
- Oversee and coordinate patrols of the casino floor and external areas to monitor for unusual activity or security threats.
- Respond to and manage incidents, including disturbances, medical emergencies, and breaches of security, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
- Review and approve incident reports, logs, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct investigations into guest and Team Member incidents, working closely with Surveillance and other departments.
- Ensure proper deployment of Security Officers and manage staffing levels to meet operational needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated security matters and liaise with local law enforcement or emergency services as required.
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of sensitive areas, such as vaults and cash handling locations, ensuring strict adherence to security protocols.
- Support and promote the Players Club loyalty program and provide exceptional guest service while maintaining security standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve overall security and safety across the property.
- Perform routine checks of security equipment and ensure proper maintenance and functionality.
- Escort cash drops, high-value assets, and Team Members as necessary to ensure safe transport.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security leadership, military leadership or law enforcement preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in security, military or law enforcement, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities.
