SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Server is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality to all guests. The server will deliver consistent, quality food and beverage service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to all guests. Always serving guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Must be able to effectively card all guests, according to New Hampshire state regulations for acceptable forms of identification.
- Ability to understand and work in assigned sections unless otherwise noted by Manager on Duty.
- Keeps station clean, stocked, and organized throughout the shift.
- Completes opening, ongoing and closing side-work, with manager approval before clocking out. Duties include stocking ice, bringing dishes to the dish area, and restocking glasses.
- Follows opening/closing checklist and company policies to meet role objectives.
- Maintain relevant knowledge of all food and beverage menu items, including drinks and liquor brand designations (house, call, premium, cordial, specialty, etc.), types of specialty drinks, domestic versus import beers, appropriate garnishes, etc.
- Able to answer questions about food and drinks including their ingredients, preparation and accompanying items. Ensure proper timing and efficiency in service of meal.
- Possess the knowledge and skill to increase food sales and upsell to premium brands of liquor.
- Ensure all serving items are clean, polished and in good condition.
- Attends to guests when delivering food and checks back to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintains table appearance by pre-bussing, replacing silverware, refilling drinks, removing clutter, and crumbing as needed. Clears soiled items promptly and fully resets tables at the end of each meal.
- Follow all company policies and procedures. Comply with all policies and standard operating procedures of the company.
- Follows alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication of guests. If you see a guest who is intoxicated, follow alcohol awareness procedures for handling intoxicated guests.
- Keeps Manager on Duty promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken
- Follows company policies and mandated law with regards to proper food handling and storing.
- Gives a warm and pleasant farewell to guests and invites them to return.
- Attends shift meetings according to shift schedule.
- Maintains a clean and neat appearance while adhering to the uniform standards of the server position.
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees and purveyors to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 and meet legal and company standards for alcohol service.
