Here at Lilac Hedge we raise livestock and works local farmer friends to provide our customers with sources of locally raised proteins to our customers. The primary distribution model is focused around orders received on website (LilacHedgeFarm.com) and delivered through our own delivery drivers, shipping, or pickup locations.
Job Summary:
In the last year we've continued to see growth month-over-month and are seeking someone to work along side our Logistics Manager to continue to exceed our customer's expectations. We're looking for someone that will work as a part of our team, making sure we are properly preparing shipping and delivery orders, addressing out of stock items with customers, and helping with inventory and ordering of packing supplies.
This position reports directly to our Logistics Manager and alongside our packing house team.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Assist in the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation including packing lists and shipping labels.
- Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and customers.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics data.
- Generate reports on shipment status, costs, and other key metrics.
- Respond to inquiries from customers and resolve any shipping-related issues.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels of packaging materials and ordering as needed.
- Prepare delivery notes for drivers for following day to ensure accurate order placement.
- Assist with warehouse organization and management.
- Maintain organized files of shipping documents.
- Identify and resolve logistical problems.
- Proactively work to prevent potential issues.
Expected Hours:
- 8:30am-5:00PM Monday-Friday
- Note: Hours and work days may vary slightly depending on the season and order volume.
Compensation:
- Compensation: $17-$21 hourly BOE
