Philanthropy & Strategic Partnerships Associate
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, mission-driven team member to support fundraising, client development, and political donor engagement across our portfolio of nonprofit, philanthropic, and political clients. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with experience in fundraising operations, nonprofits, and/or campaign work who is eager to advance their skills in donor research, stewardship, and development support.

Client Service & Fundraising Support
- Uphold high client service standards, ensuring professionalism, accuracy, and efficiency in all work.
- Support client teams (Partner, SVP, VP) in achieving fundraising goals for nonprofits, political campaigns, and philanthropic initiatives.
- Draft client-facing materials, including donor proposals, call scripts, fundraising reports, and stewardship updates.
- Assist with call time: verify donor contact information, prepare background bios, track pledges, and identify top prospects for outreach.
- Conduct individual, foundation, and corporate donor research to identify new prospects and inform fundraising strategies.
- Maintain and update CRM systems, ensuring timely and accurate recording of contributions, acknowledgments, donor notes, and coding.
- Track proposal and reporting deadlines for clients, ensuring submissions align with donor requirements and timelines.
- Support donor meetings and fundraising events, including drafting talking points, preparing briefings, and organizing post-meeting follow-up tasks.
Fundraising & Donor Engagement
- Assist clients with donor outreach, including identifying high-potential prospects, managing call sheets, and supporting event logistics.
- Research donor-giving patterns and political contributions to identify trends and opportunities for fundraising growth.
- Support political fundraising events, including invitation tracking and attendee follow-ups, and ensure accurate and organized event-related materials.
Project Management & Operations
- Coordinate and schedule client meetings, ensuring all materials and briefings are prepared.
- Provide administrative support, including managing files, locating resources, and supporting team members with day-to-day operational needs.
- Manage deadlines for deliverables and follow-up tasks, ensuring timely progress on all client projects.
Firm Strategy & Business Development
- Support firm leadership in creating business development materials and researching new fundraising opportunities.
- Provide insights and research to inform strategic planning and client pipeline development.
- Contribute to internal projects, training, and special initiatives as requested.

Qualifications & Skills:
- 1–3 years’ experience in political fundraising, campaign operations, donor relations, or nonprofit development.
- Experience supporting fundraising call time, donor outreach, and event preparation preferred.
- Strong writing, communication, and research skills, with an ability to tailor materials for donor engagement.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to achieving fundraising goals and solving challenges creatively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, fundraising databases (e.g., NGP VAN, Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce)
- Collaborative team player committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $50,000–$75,000 (commensurate with experience).
- Bonus: Eligible for an annual performance-based bonus (0–20%).
