This role will focus on supporting LT’s initiatives by creating and editing graphics for program recruitment, presentations, annual reports, research documents, and more.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and produce high-quality graphic designs for print and digital media.
- Collaborate with various teammates and departments to understand design needs.
- Deliver creative solutions and visually appealing content for program recruitment, social media, websites, newsletters, and other platforms.
- Under the direction of the Manager, Communications and Marketing, oversee brand management efforts, ensuring all visual assets, including print and digital materials, adhere to LT’s brand guidelines and maintain a consistent look and feel across all platforms, and reflect the values and mission of the Trust.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining a high standard of work.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of brand guidelines and visual identity.
- Additional duties in support of larger Communications, Team Services, and organizational goals.
- Contributes to the Trust’s success by accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills, and striving to improve team and organization results.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional graphic design experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design skills and creativity.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite; experience working in a Mac environment preferred.
- Passionate about LT’s mission, adaptable, and able to thrive in independent and collaborative environments.
- Knowledge of color theory and typography principles.
- Demonstrated, proven aesthetic judgment, excellent visual design ability, and strong conceptual ability.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with motion graphics.
- Must be a critical thinker, intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and unafraid to ask questions or give opinions.
- Must have a strong personal fit with our non-hierarchical, no-ego, intellectually honest, meritocratic culture.
- Must have the ability to work across several projects simultaneously, sometimes on tight deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.

- Knowledge of the Hawaiian language is helpful but not required.
- Note: This position is hybrid and candidate must be primarily located in HI.
