The L&D Consultant works closely with the Learning & Development Manager on projects pertaining to orientations/onboarding, performance management, leadership development, compliance, and other initiatives aligned with LT’s strategic goals and priorities. Essential Responsibilities
Learning & Development:
- Plan, develop, implement, present, and coordinate a variety of learning and professional development trainings for all employees or managers.
- Facilitate in-person and virtual training events to audiences ranging from 5 to 200 attendees.
- 3-Design and develop self-paced, live-virtual and in-person training content including engaging exercises and learning activities.
- Develop and improve ongoing learning programs in partnership with leaders and subject matter experts.
- Create a variety of training materials such as curricula, manuals, guides, tools, and other resources.
- Generate and maintain digital content for LT’s learning management system “LTU.”
- Assist with managing and updating digital content for L&D’s intranet site and other online applications that support organization-wide learning (including DiSC and LinkedIn Learning).
- Promote effective utilization of LTU and L&D digital resources by monitoring and responding to requests for assistance in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Assist with scheduling, coordinating logistics, managing communications, and maintaining records for training events.
- Collect, analyze, and report on data from program evaluation surveys and feedback conversations.
- Assist with strategic planning, program administration, and training for LT’s performance management, change management, and leadership development efforts.
- Assess and provide recommendations on workforce development needs and opportunities to increase organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Stay current in industry knowledge, skills, trends, and innovative practices in adult learning, educational technology, online learning, talent development, and organizational development.
- Assist with quarterly, annual, and ongoing reporting on L&D achievements and outcomes.
- Contribute to the Trust’s success through collaboration, communication, continuous learning, and knowledge-sharing with all teammates through various projects and tasks as assigned.
Education:
- Required: Either a Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Education, Psychology, Human Resources, or related field AND at least 3-5 years of relevant experience; OR any combination of education and experience equivalent to at least 3-5 years that typically supports the level of knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this position.
- Master’s degree; OD, Talent Development, instructional design, project management, and DiSC certifications are preferred.
- L&D experience should include at least 3-5 years of designing and implementing learning programs that result in the increase of knowledge/skills as well as positive changes in attitude and performance. Experience creating, delivering, and evaluating leadership development, performance management, and organizational change initiatives is preferred.
- Communication experience should include effective written and verbal skills to a range of stakeholders, from individual contributor to Executive levels. Familiarity with Hawaiian language or openness to learning how ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi is incorporated into our work is preferred.
- Must have strong skills using Zoom and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Knowledge of learning management systems, familiarity with eLearning creation tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise) and other presentation/video tools (Prezi, Vyond) is desirable.
- Experience as a people manager desired.
