Job Description
The E-Commerce Operations Manager has the primary responsibility of acting as the Product Owner for the Lilly Pulitzer website and native app, being an advocate and lead for the E-Commerce business, overseeing publishing products and experiences to our digital properties, and managing many of the operational tasks to ensure the site is optimized for the best consumer experience. The E-Commerce Operations Manager will be responsible for advancing customer-first experiences within the digital properties. This position sits within the Digital Commerce Department and will work closely with many stakeholders across multiple teams, with the goal to ensure the highest quality shopping experience exists for the consumer on the Lilly Pulitzer digital properties.
A day in the life...
- Act as Product Owner and functional lead for the website and native app. Assist in the development of roadmap to improve the overall customer experience.
- Assist in ownership for functional requirements for Jira projects; approve functional requirements.
- Work with development team to ensure new functionalities are working as expected.
- Be an advocate and leader for the digital business, measuring performance through key indicators.
- Report on performance and derive strategic opportunities for improvement based on data.
- Partner with UX designer on functionality roadblocks found in testing.
- Maintain Jira backlogs. Review tickets and maintain product backlog prioritization.
- Partner with Project Managers to ensure deadlines are being met. Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure tickets are progressing and nearing completion.
- Assist with UAT for builds, new project releases, and events across digital platforms.
- Provide support in testing tickets that require additional operational set up for final sign off.
- Lead testing and set-up of milestone events, including but not limited to : sale, promotions, new experiences.
- Contribute to reporting, documentation and knowledge transfer of business and initiatives.
- Assist in management of third-party personalization software in relation to our digital channels. Propose & develop tests and personalization in line with goals for improving overall user experience. Report on findings.
- Partner with Development, IT, Marketing, Planning and Merchandising to execute projects and goals.
- Monitor e-commerce site regularly to check for inconsistencies, errors, and other customer experience or brand-enhancing improvements.
- As needed, publish product SKUs and their associated image files to the website, ensuring in advance that all assets are in place to publish products accurately and timely to the website. Manage the informational fields for each product, including writing fabric descriptions, identifying product filter attributes, and maintaining consistent templated descriptions to better improve the customer experience on the website. Work with Marketing team to receive and review product descriptions. Work with technical design and merchandising teams to enhance product information for consumers where applicable.
- As needed, publish content to landing pages, associated categories and on-site ads to the website ensuring that all images click through to the correct URLs and publish at the correct time.
