$222,000 - $325,600We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to helm our in-house creative marketing teams at Eli Lilly & Company. This role is pivotal in driving the development of innovative and impactful marketing content that delivers exceptional customer experiences and enhances patient outcomes.
The candidate will report to the Associate Vice President (AVP) of Creative, Content and Digital Engagement (CCPDE) and join key members of the CCPDE leadership team as they unite to achieve our collective ambition to become the best-in-any-class internal agency, providing breakthrough digital and creative solutions that deliver against our Accelerate Reach & Scale agenda for the next 3 years. The AVP of Creative Capabilities will work collaboratively across members of the Global Commercial Capabilities and Innovation to partner with Content Strategy, Operations, Orchestration and Innovation teams as they successfully establish a best-in-any class Content Supply Chain.
The ideal candidate will possess a strategic attitude, outstanding leadership skills, and a consistent record in enhancing content effectiveness and elevating the impact of a team’s delivery. The AVP of Creative Capabilities will lead multiple teams of creative professionals across Indy-based and Lilly Capabilities Center India (LCCI) team, encouraging a collaborative environment to produce breakthrough creative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Vision delivery:
Define and communicate the vision, mission, and goals of the Creative development team and its role within the Global Content Supply Chain.
Lead and inspire a diverse creative marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Partner with key business collaborators to resolve how to craft the organization to deliver greatest impact against business results.
Become a thought leader in the creative development space, partnering and engaging with peers, vendors, and other external partners to keep a pulse on the industry.
Strategy & Collaboration:
Partner across the Global Content Supply Chain team to implement a comprehensive creative strategy aligned with the company’s marketing goals and patient-centric mission.
Develop a digital-forward operating model to deliver greatest impact against business results.
Collaborate with Digital Engagement teams to bring to bear insights to deliver relevant, and increasingly effective content performance.
Embed AI to drive creative and business results.
Lead the creation of high-quality, engaging content across various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
Execution:
Partner with peers in content strategy and content operations to refine the team’s remit and enhance overall content performance.
Ensure all creative outputs are consistent with brand guidelines, regulatory requirements and best practice design standards.
Develop a plan for continuous upskilling and external inspiration to keep internal team on the cutting edge of delivery.
Define key impact measures and drive significant improvements in speed, quality, and effectiveness of content.
Instill an approach of continuous improvement amongst teams.
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to continuously optimize marketing tactics and strategies.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
10 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
5 years of agency experience
Coaching & Performance: At least 8 years experience as a direct supervisor and leader of people effectively building and coaching highly engaged and high performing teams.

Relationship Management: Confirmed experience in building and maintaining relationships with key team members and managing external partnerships effectively.
Change Management: Experience in managing organizational change and driving adoption of new processes and technologies.
Familiarity with Adobe and Veeva technologies and their integration into enterprise systems.
Proven ability to be accountable, adaptable, and learn quickly in a complex and dynamic environment.
