Job Overview
The LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) Program Supervisor is part of the LP1 Environmental compliance team and provides technical leadership and expertise in the development, implementation, and maintenance of LDAR programs. This role requires significant collaboration, creativity, and resilience to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and to minimize emissions from industrial facilities.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee a team of LDAR technicians, providing guidance, support, and performance management to ensure high standards of work and compliance. Additionally, this role will be responsible for leading the hiring process to build and maintain a strong team.
Support the site team as a key stakeholder, providing input and feedback on LDAR-related design decisions, construction, startup and operations plans.
Develop and roll out LDAR programs, procedures, tools, and overall management systems, including training, mentoring, and onboarding of new staff.
Serve as a resource to operational areas, helping them understand the regulatory requirements of their areas and programs.
Ensure the site is up to date with new or revised regulations and EPA standards.
Provide on-call support during weekends and after normal business hours.
Additional Key Responsibilities
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of LDAR programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Maintain accurate records of LDAR activities, including monitoring data, repair logs, and compliance reports.
Lead initiatives to reduce emissions through process optimization, equipment upgrades, and best practices.
Conduct regular compliance audits and inspections to ensure adherence to LDAR regulations.
Serve as the secondary point of contact with regulatory agencies regarding LDAR management issues.
Job Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or environmental compliance.
Experience applying environmental regulations and developing LDAR programs.
Experience interfacing with HSE-related regulatory agencies.
Preferred - bachelor’s or associate degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related field of study
Job Skills and Abilities
Proven ability to lead and manage a team, including performance management, mentoring, and development.
Excellent organization and time management skills, as well as strong analytical skills and a systematic and structured way of working.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and regulatory agencies.
Ability to lead cross-functional and technical teams, with a deep understanding of LDAR programs and environmental regulations.
