Unique Opportunity:
Collaborate with a dedicated team, receiving support from the Senior Director of Operations, Lead Teacher, and other departments such as finance, recruitment, and marketing, to ensure the provision of exceptional education and care for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director in overseeing daily operations of the preschool, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Supervise, train, and support teaching staff, providing guidance and feedback to ensure the highest standards of early childhood education.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and staff, fostering an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive community.
- Assist with enrollment efforts, conducting tours, and following up with prospective families to ensure continued growth and success.
- Assist in the management of staff schedules, recruitment, and the hiring process.
- Maintain organized records and ensure timely completion of required paperwork, including licensing reports and documentation.
- Address parental concerns with professionalism and empathy, ensuring that each family’s needs are met.
- Support the Director in managing the budget, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.
- Complete required professional development training and encourage staff to do the same.
- Step into teaching or other roles when necessary to maintain a smooth and caring environment for the children.
Qualifications:
- 12 core semester units in early childhood education/development
- 3 semester units related to infant care.
- 3 semester units in Administration
- 4 years teaching experience in a licensed Child Care Center
- 3 to 5 years of experience in early childhood education, must have management experience.
- Strong understanding of California state licensing regulations and early childhood education best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and care.
- Associates in Art degree or a Bachelor's Degree
