Job Title: Residential Support Specialist
Reports To: Residential Supervisor/Women’s Coordinator
Job Overview
Lily’s Place Residential is focused on residential treatment for women with substance use disorder and their children. An employee in this position will oversee clients in daily living and therapeutic areas. Provide training on daily living skills if needed, in areas such as laundry, bed-making, meal preparation, grocery shopping, doctor appointments, etc.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide guidance and training to client and children on daily living skills, including but not limited to, food preparation, cleaning, laundry and therapeutic destress activities
- Provides assistance to clients in developing daily/weekly schedules to ensure progress toward treatment goals.
- Attends all meetings as required.
- Is punctual and dependable
- Documents activities as required.
- Transports clients and their children as needed
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Experience working with substance use disorders is preferred.
- Promotes a stigma free work environment though language and attitude.
- Able to take direction and work as part of a team.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills as well as demonstrated skills.
- Must demonstrate a clear understanding of professional boundaries and confidentiality when working with individuals and the professional staff in partner agencies.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have 2 years of continuous sobriety if in recovery
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Every weekend
Work Location: In person
