As a Market Expansion Strategist, you will adeptly navigate the competitive landscape, maintain our competitive edge, and contribute to our profitability, always anticipating future opportunities.
What You'll Do:
- Lead Market Entry: Develop and execute dynamic strategies to propel Centauri/Lilypad into new markets and enhance our presence in both emerging and established arenas.
- Collaborate for Success: Work closely with the Chief Sales & Distribution Officer to set ambitious annual sales goals and shape the overall department budget.
- Agency Recruitment: Scout, recruit, appoint, and train top-notch agencies to meet premium targets and excel in their roles.
- Strategic Distribution: Distribute agencies strategically to ensure effective risk spread, aligning with Centauri's guidelines.
- Field Engagement: Embark on extensive field travel, visiting agent offices to deliver insightful monthly reports and provide additional training.
- Relationship Building: Build strong, quality relationships with all appointed agencies to foster mutual growth and success.
- Performance Feedback: Deliver consistent performance feedback to agencies, driving Centauri's and their business performance to new heights.
- Competitor Intelligence: Gather and analyze competitor intelligence to fuel future product enhancements and innovative rate plans.
- Training Programs: Design and implement engaging training programs for agencies, both in-office and online.
- Frontline Support: Serve as the go-to contact for agency questions and issue resolution, ensuring smooth operations.
- Industry Dialogue: Maintain active dialogue with industry leaders through the Big I, PIA, Departments of Insurance, and other key groups.
- Support Leadership: Assist senior leaders in building effective relationships with state industry leaders as needed.
- Administrative Excellence: Meet all administrative requirements promptly and efficiently.
- Timely Reporting: Ensure timely submission of weekly sales and expense reports.
- Expense Management: Manage expenses within the approved budget, optimizing resource use.
- Candidate Location: The ideal candidate will live in SC, AL, LA, or FL Panhandle.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
- Four to six years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience and knowledge of the property & casualty market.
- Managing territories and clients within the territory.
- Up to 50% travel required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
