We are a locally owned and operated Children’s Developmental Disabilities Agency with an office in Nampa. We offer opportunities throughout the Treasure Valley. We are seeking full-time and part-time Intervention Technicians, Specialists, and Professionals (IT/IS/IP) to provide one-on-one therapy to children and adolescents. Part-time positions are perfect for graduate students and teachers looking to make a difference.
Intervention is a professional, goal-oriented therapy designed to help minimize maladaptive behaviors and teach new skills to children with developmental disabilities. Interventionists work on goals and objectives that are laid out in the participant’s plan and record clinical data to demonstrate outcomes. You will have a unique opportunity to positively impact the lives of the children you work with.
Intervention Technician Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate program and within 24 credits and 18 months of graduation in a human service field, or
- Holds a bachelor’s degree or higher in a human service field
- Hours worked count toward IS qualifications
- Must be reliable, have a valid driver’s license, and an insured vehicle
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Intervention Specialist Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a human service field and either: an HI certification or a willingness to take a $50 class
- A minimum of 1-year (1040 hours) experience working with children and adolescents (ages 0-21) with developmental disabilities
- Must be reliable, have a valid driver’s license, and an insured vehicle
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Intervention Professional Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, psychology, or education; or a Master’s degree with 1,500 hours of relevant coursework and/or training; and 1,200 hours of relevant experience
- A minimum of 1-year (1040 hours) experience working with children and adolescents (ages 0-21) with developmental disabilities
- Must be reliable, have a valid driver’s license, and an insured vehicle
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
