Full-time K-12 Music Teacher

Job Description
The teacher will be responsible for planning and teaching lessons that are equivalent to NY
State Standards and LCS Student Expected Outcomes for K-12 music classes (specific classes to be determined). The applicant should be comfortable with building from an established curriculum to make it their own. The applicant will teach classroom material as well as run chorus and choir groups. The applicant will be responsible for conducting choral concerts. He or she will create an environment that is conducive to the academic, social, and spiritual growth of the students. In addition to teaching, he or she will be responsible for communicating effectively with students and parents regarding progress, and collaborating with other LCS staff in order to meet schoolwide curriculum goals. Strong writing skills are necessary, experience is preferred, and a bachelor’s degree and commencement towards certification (NY State and/or
ACSI) is mandatory.

Pay: $25,000.00 - $25,500.00 per year
