What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrator On Site - Patient Access Center position at Lima Memorial Health System?
Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, policies and procedures, the Administrator On-Site (AOS) shares responsibility for management of the human, material and fiscal resources of Lima Memorial Health System (LMHS) by providing 24/7 leadership and overall management of patient placement and throughput, and working with department Managers and Staffing Coordinators to ensure appropriate staffing that is in line with benchmarks /based on acuity. The AOS serves as a role model for professional communication, uses critical data to arrive at logical decisions, and nurtures an environment which actively supports LMHS’ quality, safety, financial and satisfaction goals. S/he plays a key role in actively marketing LMHS’ services to the community and promotes LMHS specialty services (i.e. nephrology, urology, concussion clinic) to outlying hospitals. The AOS provides coverage for nursing leadership and for other AOS team members as needed ensuring management continuity for planned and unplanned time-off including leaves of absence, continuing education, and LMHS drills.
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN or business-related Bachelor’s Degree required.
Licensure/Certification: Must hold a valid, unrestricted RN license in the State of Ohio
Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of RN experience in an acute care setting is required with documented history of effective interaction with physicians, patients, visitors, management staff, associates and all other stakeholders. Previous management and Critical Care experience is strongly preferred.
Skills: Must demonstrate exceptional critical thinking and emotional intelligence; strong written/verbal communication, organizational, conflict resolution and negotiation/persuasion, skills; and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to adapt to rapid change, work both independently and collaboratively, prioritize, and facilitate consensus among diverse constituents. Must also have strong clinical skills and knowledge/ability with statistical/data analysis. Expertise with EMTALA, HIPAA and the Joint Commission regulations is preferred.
