What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Director of Nursing - Administration position at Lima Memorial Health System?
Under the direction of the Vice President & CNO and functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, and policies and procedures, the Executive Director of Nursing is responsible for providing leadership to assigned in-patient and out-patient departments within the division of nursing services. The Executive Director shares responsibility for building a collaborative proactive culture through building relationships and role modeling a clear, respectful, trusting, communication style. The Executive Director collaborates with other LMHS leaders in formulating objectives and implementing operational plans for the delivery of healthcare services that are designed to meet LMHS patient and physician satisfaction, employee engagement, quality and financial goals.
Education : Completion of an accredited National League of Nursing (NLN) School and a BSN or business-related Bachelor’s degree required. MSN or business-related Masters also required or must be currently enrolled and completed within first 18 months of hire.
Licensure / Certification : Current valid unrestricted Ohio RN license is required.
Experience : Minimum of five (5) years of acute care nursing experience and a minimum of five (5) years of recent nursing leadership experience required. Experience administering Collective Bargaining Agreements in a union environment is strongly preferred.
