What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN RN - Endoscopy position at Lima Memorial Health System?
Functioning within the Health System’s mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on his/her shift. RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care using age specific criteria. Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries. Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes and be “on call” per department requirements.
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure/Certification: Must have a valid unrestricted RN license for the State of Ohio. Current BLS required. ACLS required. Cardiac dysrhythmia required.
Experience: One to three years’ experience specific to cardiac care required.
Skills: Must have excellent “customer service” skills, including the ability to exhibit patience and tact with all constituents including physicians, patients and associates. Be cooperative and collaborative, and have the ability to work efficiently while in stressful situations. Must have basic computer skills and EMR (electronic medical records) experience.
Must be able to work quickly and effectively with little guidance. Must be able to multitask. Must have interpersonal skills to communicate with physicians.
