Job Summary :
The intern will lead the development of documentation for four key standard operating procedures. These procedures include loan originations, loans sales, payments, and payoffs. This documentation will assist in onboarding, cross training, audits, and identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiencies. Through this project, the intern will have an opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of each key process. Additionally, the intern will assist the team with bank reconciliations, general ledger account reconciliations, recording journal entries and treasury functions. The goal throughout the program is to provide the intern with practical knowledge of accounting practice to bridge the gap between college textbooks and real-world application
The internship program will run from May 19 to August 1, 2025.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Document the standard operating procedures for loan originations, loan sales, payments, and payoffs.
- Prepare up to 10 bank reconciliations per month to assist the accounting team in month end close.
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations.
- Process cash disbursements requests from internal departments and external vendors.
- Other tasks assigned to assist the team in meeting goals.
