This person will support the creation, refinement, and administration of credit risk policies. The Credit Risk intern will lead a significant project from inception to presentation. Over the Summer you will learn the intricacies of credit risk in real estate lending and mortgage processes.
The internship program will run from May 19 to August 1, 2025.

Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Assist in analyzing loan portfolio performance and identifying trends or risk factors.
- Prepare summary reports for the team on key credit-related metrics.
- Policy and Procedure Support:
- Contribute to the enhancement and administration of credit risk policies.
- Help draft updates to risk-related documents and ensure compliance tracking.
- Modeling and System Development:
- Support the development of credit risk models, including risk-rating systems.
- Conduct initial testing and provide feedback on model performance.
- Collaboration and Cross-Departmental Tasks:
- Work with analytics teams on statistical credit risk models.
- Coordinate with underwriting and servicing teams for policy implementation and compliance monitoring.
- Research and Impact Assessment:
- Conduct research on potential impacts of product or process changes on the firm’s credit risk.
- Provide preliminary analysis and recommendations for mitigating emerging risks.
- Administrative and Learning Support:
- Assist with documentation and administrative tasks related to credit policy updates and portfolio monitoring.
- Engage in learning opportunities through mentorship and team discussions.
- Currently or recently graduated undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and able read nonverbal ques
