Job description
- Assist breeding program in nursery and field trial design, planting, evaluation, and seed harvest.
- Be a proficient user of the Breeding Operating Database (BOS).
- Assist the Sweet Corn Breeding Team in the receipt and distribution of seeds for seed production and trialing.
- Recruit, supervise, and work side-by-side with the seasonal/contract field crew in all aspects of seeding, thinning, pollinating and seed harvest.
- Active participation in company safety programs.
Required knowledge & Skills
- Candidate must be an effective communicator both orally and in writing, possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint; experience with database applications helpful
- Able to travel domestically and internationally
