Limb Lab is seeking a full-time Medical Coordinator loves working hard and being part of a professional and agile team. No certification will be required; however, applicants should have some experience in O & P. As a part of the Limb Lab team, you will enjoy modern office settings, and career growth opportunities.
What you will do:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide administrative support to patients, fellow employees and referral sources through the coordination and administration of the front office activities. The ideal candidate will have a background in an administrative role with strong computer proficiency, and customer service.
- Typical responsibilities include scheduling appointments, validating insurance and payment authorization, inputting claims, processing payments, performing account collections, conducting billing research and responding to telephone inquiries
- Responsible for patient appointment scheduling
- Creation of new patient charts and maintenance of patient records
- Scanning and filing patient documents and ensuring complete and accurate information
- Managing incoming phone calls
- Obtaining insurance authorization
- Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, fellow employees and referral sources
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years customer service experience
- Prior experience as a medical coordinator/medical receptionist is preferred.
- Must be detail oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
