Construction Technician

Job description

We are seeking a self-motivated driven person that possess strong communication skills and is confident in his/her ability and knowledge in Residential Construction. This position requires a candidate preferably with construction experience. A qualified person must be able to multi-task in a fast moving residential and apartment construction environment. This position involves a high level of communication with our project management team to schedule and maintain our projects. Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 based on experience

Medical benefits available after probationary period.

401k available after 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Strength, balance and agility, able to lift 80 -100 lbs
• Basic knowledge of tool and equipment safety,
• Ability to identify and correct workplace hazards
• Work independently, or lead a team, and be qualified to perform a wide scope of work
• Ability to think on your feet and problem solve
• Must have full working knowledge and skills in carpentry
• Knowledge in demo, plumbing; light electrical, drywall repair and general maintenance
• Understands the project plans and specifications

Competencies

• 2 years of experience preferred
• Skilled craftsman w/ knowledge of multiple trades
• Great work ethic, and pride in your work.
• Excited to take on new challenges
• Clean driving record – you must be insurable
• Prompt attendance and maintain a professional appearance always while on duty
• Seeking long-term employment, and development within the residential construction industry.
