Industrial Electrician

Job Description

A qualified Industrial Electrician is needed for a full-time role at a mining site in northern New York. The position involves working 5 shifts of 10 hours each week with 2 days off. The site is conveniently located within a short commute from Gouverneur, Watertown, and college towns like Canton and Potsdam. It also offers easy access to recreational activities, including the Adirondack Mountains, Lake Placid, and the Thousand Islands. Major urban centers such as Syracuse, Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa are nearby.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and run cable, wire, and communication systems.
• Mount junction boxes, control boxes, and switches.
• Read and follow technical prints and schematics.
• Test and troubleshoot circuits, motors, fans, VFDs, and transformers.
• Perform high-voltage splicing and terminations.
• Learn hoisting and crushing operations and troubleshoot related systems.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of industrial electrical experience.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to perform duties safely without posing a risk to self or others.
• Willingness to relocate and commit to a 5-day work week.
