Overview:
Join our dedicated team at Limitless Adventures, where our mission is to provide a safe, fun, and enriching summer camp experience for children with special needs. We are looking for experienced teachers or childcare professionals who are passionate about working with children and can help maintain a nurturing, structured environment with a small counselor-to-camper ratio.
Position Details:
- Employment Type:
- Full-Time: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 8:30-5:00 PM
- Includes a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks.
- Part-Time:
- Morning Shift: 8:30 AM – 12:45 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM – 5:15 PM
- Includes a 15-minute break
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive care and support for children with special needs in a safe and structured setting.
- Implement sensory accommodations and behavior strategies tailored to individual campers.
- Facilitate a variety of summer camp activities including arts & crafts, water days, field trips, and gross motor activities.
- Use visual schedules, sensory toys, and dedicated decompression spaces (break room) to support campers’ needs.
- Collaborate with a team to maintain a fun, engaging, and safe camp environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a teacher, paraprofessional, or registered behavioral tech.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children with special needs.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and structured programming.
- Level 2 background check (prior to start date)
- Flexibility to work part-time or full-time as per camp scheduling requirements.
