Job Summary: Program Supervisors are responsible for the direct supervision of Direct Support Professionals and adult individuals with disabilities in various settings such as the home, community and vocational sites. It is the Program Supervisor's responsibility to ensures that policies are followed, behavioral support plans are implemented uniformly, employees are continuously improving their skills, client treatment is optimized, documentation is maintained and medication plans are strictly followed. Strives to continuously improve practices, maintain the company culture of employee respect and retention and maintain premium quality care, independence and advancement of clients that is the hallmark of the company.
Job Duties:
Direct Support: Program Supervisors provide direct support services to members using person-centered approaches and strategies that support members to be fully engaged and include in each aspect of his or her daily life, have maximum choice and control, and gain independence.
Health, Wellness, and Safety: Program Supervisors work with the member and his or her team to develop a support plan to promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of the member based on individual preferences and goals. Program Supervisors actively monitor, review, discuss with the member, and modify support plans to ensure the most effective strategies are in place.
Participant support plan development, monitoring and assessment: Program Supervisors operationalize member's individual goals and identified outcomes into a coordinated support plan. Program Supervisors coordinate and facilitate support network meetings, maintain communication with other service providers, family, and monitor, documentation, and report progress toward goals.
Facilitating community Inclusion: Program Supervisors facilitate and support the development and maintenance of the members support networks in partnership with the member being supported. Program Supervisors support members to explore educational, employment, volunteer, and retirement opportunities, and/or collaborate with other staff and providers to coordinate supports that will assist members in reaching goals and actively participating in activities of his or her choice.
Promoting professional relations and teamwork: Program Supervisors enhance professional relations among team members and their capacity to work effectively with others toward common goals by using effective communication skills, facilitating teamwork, and supporting and encouraging growth and professional development.
Staff recruitment, selection, and hiring: Program Supervisors use best practices to actively recruit and lead a selection process that actively includes the member. Program Supervisors provide sufficient information about the position through a realistic job preview and conducts effective interviews to promote successful hires of direct support professionals.
Staff supervision, training, and development: Program Supervisors coordinate and lead competency-based direct support staff training and professional development activities, including coaching and mentoring. Program Supervisors conduct performance reviews and are responsible for all aspects of staff supervision.
Service management and quality assurance: Program Supervisors effectively manage and oversee member services including compliance with all federal, state, and local rules and regulations, and apply ethical principles related to best practices in services and supports. Program Supervisors oversee the management of financial activities within scope of work assignments to ensure continued quality services delivery.
Advocacy: Program Supervisors advocate for and with the member for services and opportunities that promote safe, respected, and valued membership in the community.
Leadership, professionalism and self-development: Program Supervisors maintain professionalism and engage in ongoing self-development activities. Program Supervisors share and receive knowledge from others, support coworkers, and actively participate in the life of his or her organization.
On Call: Program Supervisors are expected to always be on-call during the week. Program Supervisors are expected to be on-call on the weekends, unless they are off duty as a result of being part of an on-call coverage rotation with another Program Supervisor. It is the responsibility of the Program Supervisor to communicate properly to their staff the on-call rotation.

Pay: $58,000.00 per year
