SUMMARY:
The role of the Foreman will help supervise and coordinate all tasks of the employees involved in the Housing Department or any other tasks related to the daily workload. This position will also assume the leadership role in the absence of Manager of Operations. The Foreman will be required to maintain a good driving record, California Driver’s License, and a good safety record. The Foreman must have excellent knowledge of all form related tasks. Must have knowledge and experience on how to operate heavy and light equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Communicate with the Manager of Operations for the daily work plan
- Supervise larger maintenance and repair projects; directs Housing employees on how to complete tasks required in those projects
- The Foreman will direct the workers on their daily workload.
- May be required to communicate and schedule Contractors and Vendors.
- Responsible for maintenance on all equipment, tools, and material used on the jobs.
- Responsible for tool inventory, signing them out to the crews at the beginning of the day and checking them back in at the end of the day.
- Responsible for Housing Department operations when Manager is out
- Responsible for training new employees on job tasks, Safety and Food Safety rules and regulations
- Complete daily reports either in AppFolio or handwritten; complete all paperwork as directed and in a timely manner
- Responsible to make sure all Housing & Commercial department member complete their daily work orders in AppFolio at the end of each day.
- Responsible for maintenance of houses, buildings, structures and facilities including, but not limited to construction, remodeling, repairs and paint
- Keep supplies and tools organized, both at work site and in service vehicle
- Maintain good quality workmanship throughout entire jobs or projects
- Maintain a neat work area while in and around tenant housing
- Be respectful to the tenants and their personal property
- Complete all paperwork as directed in a timely matter.
- Must comply with all Safety and Food Safety rules and regulations
- Good communication skills and able to follow directions.
- Must be available for 24 hour emergency calls.
- Perform the above duties with minimum supervision.
- Perform all other duties as directed by the Manager of Operations or Management
Qualifications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; 2 years supervisory experience; possess a California Class C license and maintain a clean DMV record; may require a special license to operate equipment, experience with using welding and exy-acetylene equipment; experience in electrical, carpentry, and plumbing trades; must have backhoe operator experience.
- SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Must be able to read and comprehend instructions; fluency in English and Spanish to communicate with supervisor, coworkers, and tenants. Must be able to supervise employees and interpret work procedures for employees; must be able to analyze information to make generalizations, evaluations, and/or decision based on judgmental criteria; must have excellent knowledge of all forms related tasks.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Must have a good grasp of basic mathematical skills.
