What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at Linamar Corp?
The Human Resources Generalist position is responsible for the recruiting/hiring process and employee benefit administration. Additional responsibilities include, assisting the Human Resources Manager with daily human resources activities including but not limited to, new hire orientation, organizational development, training, health and safety, processing WCC, STD/LTD claims and employee relations.
Performance Expectations
- Coordinate and implement employee events and incentive programs to increase employee morale, motivation and satisfaction.
- Prepare reports and plant postings.
- Compose company newsletter on a quarterly basis.
- Manage temporary staffing company.
- Maintain accurate documentation in HRIS.
- Arrange for advertising or postings of job vacancies, assist in screening and rating of job applicants and perform reference checks.
- Administer employee benefits and discount programs and respond to inquiries.
- Maintain records and reports for time and attendance.
- Create forms and tracking systems for special projects as needed.
- Assist and perform audits as needed.
- Process new hires through coordination of orientation.
- Conduct human resource section of process.
- Coordinate on boarding process with other departments.
- Coordinate professional development and training initiatives.
- Participation in continuous improvement programs.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or business related degree .
- Previous payroll and human resource system experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
