Maintenance Planner

Helps develop strategies for preventive and predictive maintenance systems. Responsible for ordering parts and making sure that repairs and maintenance are done in an accurate and high-quality manner. Participates in health and safety programs as needed. Works closely with Maintenance Supervisor to build reliable maintenance systems and teams.

Performance Expectations

• Support the Maintenance Supervisor in the development, implementation and administration of the maintenance strategy to achieve the maintenance department objectives.
• Developing and drafting written maintenance plans that clearly communicate the work scope and maximize the job productivity for the work force employees.
• Create Preventive Maintenance (PM) routines for all new equipment.
• Create TCCRs for spare parts for all new equipment.
• Determining and arranging for materials, parts and special tools or equipment required to perform work order scope and making sure they are available before scheduling the work.
• Provides fast response for support to facility operations as needed
• Reviews all completed work orders to document completed work and record material used.
• Maintain and oversee invoices, orders, accounting and contractor work.
• Order parts, supplies, materials and inventory to ensure activities can proceed.
• Set-up and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PM) work orders established.
• Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability and maintenance department performance

Credentials

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalency
• Experience in purchasing practices.
• Experience with inventory management.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong computer literacy skills (i.e. - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
