What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Planner position at Linamar Corp?
Helps develop strategies for preventive and predictive maintenance systems. Responsible for ordering parts and making sure that repairs and maintenance are done in an accurate and high-quality manner. Participates in health and safety programs as needed. Works closely with Maintenance Supervisor to build reliable maintenance systems and teams.
Performance Expectations
- Support the Maintenance Supervisor in the development, implementation and administration of the maintenance strategy to achieve the maintenance department objectives.
- Developing and drafting written maintenance plans that clearly communicate the work scope and maximize the job productivity for the work force employees.
- Create Preventive Maintenance (PM) routines for all new equipment.
- Create TCCRs for spare parts for all new equipment.
- Determining and arranging for materials, parts and special tools or equipment required to perform work order scope and making sure they are available before scheduling the work.
- Provides fast response for support to facility operations as needed
- Reviews all completed work orders to document completed work and record material used.
- Maintain and oversee invoices, orders, accounting and contractor work.
- Order parts, supplies, materials and inventory to ensure activities can proceed.
- Set-up and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PM) work orders established.
- Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability and maintenance department performance Other duties assigned
Credentials
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalency
- Experience in purchasing practices.
- Experience with inventory management.
- Manufacturing experience preferred. Strong computer literacy skills (i.e. - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
