Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join our team. The Technician is responsible for providing support with day-to-day manufacturing issues, waste reduction initiatives and new product launches in a CNC machining facility.
Responsibility:
· Provide technical support for production floor.
· Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues.
· Support Tool Setters in dialing in machines after changes,as required
· Complete tool life studies, sample product, and tooling, as required.
· Read and interpret part prints for rough castings and finished machined parts.
· Support new tooling trials and improve existing tooling for machining processes.
· Monitor shop floor practices.
· Aid in cell installation.
· Assist Manufacturing Engineers as needed.
· Perform miscellaneous activities as requested by Management.
· Travel to other plants required.
· Other duties as assigned.
Academic/Educational Requirements
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Associate’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
Required Skills/Experience
· Minimum of 1 year of experience in a CNC machining environment.
· Previous experience and proficiency in CNC machine operations, tool setting and making CNC tool height adjustments
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Blueprint reading skills
· Attention to detail
· Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
· Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
· Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
· Act with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
