Job Title: Warehouse Shipper/Receiver
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for shipping and receiving of agricultural parts and following company quality standards. The role plays a crucial part in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the overall efficiency of our operations.
Duties
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of shipping/receiving contents. Compare, create and maintain all records such as packing slips, BOL’s, invoices and transfer orders
- Follow standard work procedures for shipping/receiving
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery or route of materials to our customers
- Maintain quality records for reporting, accounting and record keeping purposes. Solve any inaccurate discrepancies with the return goods or packing slips.
- Identify any inaccurate inventories and notify Supervisor
- Follow standard operating procedures and quality control procedures.
- Operate forklift in a safe manner.
- Actively participates in continuous improvements, lean initiatives, and other related activities.
- Work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Company rules, policies, and procedures.
Academic/Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Required Skills/Experience
- Shipping/receiving experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
- Computer and reading skills (Microsoft, Excel, Word, ERP systems preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs with the assistance of a lifting device.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane (training will be provided).
- Highly organized, proactive, can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent time management skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail.
- Physically demanding – bending, crouching, walking, standing for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions
- Standard 40 hours per week/Overtime when necessary
- Indoor, outdoor when needed
- Physically demanding – bending, crouching, walking, standing for extended periods of time
- Must wear protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, and hearing protection
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
