What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Tech 2 position at Linamar Corporation?
Quality Technician 2
The Quality Control Technician 2 is responsible for many duties within the quality department including but not limited to floor auditing, CMM operation, gage control, dock audits, assisting in sort operations, etc. The Quality Control Technician 2 assists in performing gage R&R studies, gage calibrations, various studies, data collection and overseeing sort operations.
Performance Expectations
- CMM Program Modifications / Programming, daily calibration and maintenance
- Maintenance of Gage Trak System for gages
- Gage calibrations and Control of Gage Certifications
- Assist in gage R&R studies
- Floor auditing of parts / Audit Gage tables
- Assist in capability studies
- Assist / manage sorts (tagging, material movement, training, monitoring, writing alerts / purges, etc)
- Perform LPA audits, report results
- Daily scrap disposition and scrap as instructed
- Weekly / monthly scrap reports as instructed
- Daily purge / alert report
- MRB maintenance – daily counts and report out
- Posting of information to floor information boards
- Balloon prints, Dimensional Inspection Report, Annual part Lay-Outs
