General Production Worker

Job Summary: Reporting to the Production Supervisor,the General Production/ Finish will process parts per customer requirements FLSA Classification.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Process castings through automated finish cell per job specific work instructions.

· Load saw fixture for gating and riser removal.

· Visually inspect casting per customer requirements while maintaining production flow.

· Perform audits and gage parts when required.

· Record scrap and/or production information into Plex.

· Recommend improvements for completing tasks and/or finishing improvement.

· Maintain work area keeping it clean from sand.

· Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be able to read and understand work instructions.
• Must be able to write and complete required paperwork and enter information into Plex system.
• Must have basic math skills - add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

· Must be able to communicate effectively.

· Must be able to rotate and perform all positions within finishing cell.

· Must be team-oriented, able to problem-solve and troubleshoot.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Experience working in manufacturing preferred.

Work Environment:

· The job works in conditions with constant exposure to noise, odors, dust, drafts and chemicals.

· May include seasonally hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time.

· Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: Hourly full-time position 40 hours per week with overtime or weekend hours as needed to support production.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
