The Lincoln Airport Authority is seeking a Director of Operations and Maintenance, a senior leadership role reporting to the Airport Executive Director. This position is responsible for overseeing the Airport’s Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 139 certification, risk management programs, and regulatory compliance. As the Airport Security Coordinator (ASC), the Director ensures adherence to Transportation Security Regulations (TSR 1542) and maintains a safe, secure, and efficient airport environment.
This role involves managing airfield operations, facility and grounds maintenance, emergency response, and security functions. The Director collaborates with government agencies, tenants, airline representatives, and other stakeholders to uphold operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Facility Maintenance, Maintenance Technology, Public or Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive airport operations experience at a FAR Part 139 certificated airport.
- At least five (5) years of supervisory experience.
- Industry certifications such as Certified Member (C.M.), Airport Certified Employee (A.C.E.), or Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, emergency response protocols, and airport security programs.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a focus on collaboration and strategic planning.
Salary & Benefits
The starting salary range for this position is $145,000 - $165,000. LNK offers an attractive benefits package and will assist with relocation costs.
